Kelly Kidneigh and Stirling Fox fell in love with Oregon wine and each other while working together on their journeys in farming and crafting small batch wines of beautiful varietal character.  Along the way Mad Violets Wine Company was born in 2008, right after they purchased the Buttonfield Estate in the Chehalem Mountains.

After 18 months in 35% French oak, the Mantis has a few years of bottle conditioning under its belt. The show begins with boysenberry gelato, gardenia and Thai basil aromas filing the air. The wine's elegant, soft mouthfeel escorts flavors of blackberry, toasted walnuts and cocoa powder. Seamless, and satisfying.
